"Flash has permeated enterprise storage in small, medium-sized, and large enterprises as well as
among webscale customers like cloud and service providers. It is available in a variety of different
system architectures, including internal storage, hyperconverged and converged platforms, and shared
storage arrays. Revenue driven by shared storage arrays, of both the hybrid flash array (HFA) and the
all-flash array (AFA) type, is much larger than from other segments today and will continue to dominate
enterprise storage spend through at least 2020."

Infinidat provides the difference you seek in a data storage solution for media and entertainment organizations. New demands have everyone in the industry feeling the impact of high latency storage and its impact on efficiently delivering speed to market on new and dense workload management. The Infinidat unified storage architecture enables the scale, performance and best overall TCO required to deliver an extreme competitive advantage to media and entertainment companies.
Infinidat® enterprise storage solutions are based upon the unique and patented Infinidat storage architecture—A fully abstracted set of Software-Defined Storage (SDS) functions integrated with the best-of-breed off-the-shelf commodity hardware. Infinidat’s software-focused architecture, an evolution and revolution in data management design over 30 years in the making, solves the conflicting requirements of bigger, faster, and less expensive. This paper discusses the technology that enables Infinidat to be the only enterprise storage provider that achieves multi-petabyte capacity with faster than all-flash performance (over 1.3M IOPS at microsecond latency) and an unprecedented seven-nines availability, all at the lowest Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).
Virtualization is the standard in enterprise IT environments for consolidating servers, enhancing businstrators that reduces their Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and helps speed the application development process. However, as improvements have been made with server technology, storage technoless continuity, and improving business agility. VMware provides an architecture for server adminiogy has become the bottleneck. Legacy storage solutions can’t keep pace with thousands of virtual machines demanding maximum IOPS along with high bandwidth at the lowest latency. Infinidat’s InfiniBox removes the storage bottleneck for VMware environments. The InfiniBox enterprise storage array delivers faster-than-all-flash performance, high availability, and capacity density at petabyte scale. This Infinidat white paper is written for VMware and storage administrators to introduce them to the integration capabilities of the InfiniBox for VMware.

As organizations continue to look for ways to increase business agility, a need for a modern database architecture that can rapidly respond to the needs of business is more apparent than ever. While an RDBMS still serves as a lifeline for many organizations, the adoption of technologies such as NoSQL and Hadoop are enabling organizations to best address database performance and scalability requirements while also satisfying the goals of embracing hybrid cloud and becoming more data-driven. And with organizations relying so heavily on these new technologies to yield rapid insights that positively impact the business, the need to evaluate how those new technologies are managed and protected is essential. Hadoop and NoSQL workloads are now pervasive in production environments and require “production-class” data protection, yet few data protection solutions offer such capabilities today.

AOS delivers powerful, intent-driven automation of network services in vendor-agnostic environments by delivering it as an easily consumable service in response to consumer-specified intent. Network devices serve packets, AOS services serve application workloads.
According to numerous studies, 70-80% of outages are due to configuration change applied to a living system, and not due to initial deployment. Initial, one-time deployment can be seen as sort of a “hello world” application; the real complexities arise as the system evolves. With AOS, configuration, telemetry, and expectations are derived from the single source of truth - the intent - in an idempotent fashion, and as such there is no implementation difference between initial deployment or change management.
Intent Based Analytcs (IBA), an important feature of AOS and a main enabler for closed loop telemetry is described in this whitepaper. Prerequisites for this whitepaper include a basic understanding of the Apstra AOS soluton, such as from the white paper ttled “The Apstra Operatng System (AOS) Architecture Overview.
