Case management frameworks built on business process management platforms help IT solutions architects deploy case-handling applications and offer an alternative to specialized case management applications and custom coding. According to Gartner, the complex architecture required to support case management has relegated it to the status of a niche application, typically addressed by specialist, commercial off-the-shelf application providers and system integrators. Case management as a process style is being applied in many sectors beyond government, legal and insurance, including healthcare, banking, higher education and retail. Industry and cross-industry case management frameworks are now available. "Adaptive case management" hype exceeds the reality of what buyers need. Gartner evaluated 12 vendors including Pegasystems against nine critical capabilities in four use cases.

See the 2017 retail holiday recap for learnings you can use while planning for Holiday 2018.
Why the target audience should care: Get the trends from last year’s holiday season so you can predict your results this year. Find out why Black Friday online sales are expected to surpass Cyber Monday’s, why bigger retailers are stealing online share from smaller retailers, and why search advertising and mobile optimization should be your top priorities this season.
A related recent development in the data center is converged infrastructure (CI). Instead of the traditional silo deployment approach to storage, compute, and network resources, all infrastructure elements are delivered and managed in a single environment, providing virtualized access to business services in an efficient manner. This is particularly suitable for cloud-based delivery models. However, since CI achieves lower costs through optimization of data center resources, it can be effective for all IT organizations, regardless of the way in which the services are managed or presented.
As diverse organizations seek to implement data-driven strategies, the personal computer in all its varieties remains the key workforce productivity tool. IT leaders must guide PC management across the entire PC lifecycle to enable users to work most effectively.
Today, IT leaders address the PC lifecycle across a continuum from control to transformation. Control is geared to optimization, while transformation focuses on the business impact of technology.

Metal 3D printing is revolutionizing the manufacturing process.
Complex shapes, enhanced functional properties and lightweighting are some
of the unique benefits delivered by additive manufacturing (AM). While there is
plenty of information about printing techniques, materials and hardware, a critical
element is rarely mentioned: the need for an integrated software solution for
metal additive manufacturing.
It takes more than a 3D CAD model and a good printer to get a successful print.
Metal AM software handles all preparation and optimization actions that are required
for a printed part to meet the desired CAD model specifications.
This ebook provides an overview of the preparation and optimization process for AM,
explains the importance of software to the profitability of any additive manufacturing
business and suggests what to look for when researching AM software solutions.

MANUFACTURING: AN INDUSTRY DRIVEN BY DISRUPTION
A leading manufacturer today can be an also-ran next year. Disruption is the new
normal. Maintain the status quo at your peril because no manufacturer is safe from:
•? Innovative new products that can radically shift demand
•? Falling prices that relentlessly pressure costs
•? Dynamic business models where yesterday’s partner can become
Turning disruption into your advantage requires continuous innovation and
optimization, driven by data.
The current trend in manufacturing is towards tailor-made products in smaller lots with shorter delivery times. This change may lead to frequent production modifications resulting in increased machine downtime, higher production cost, product waste—and the need to rework faulty products.
Watch this webinar to learn how TIBCO’s Smart Manufacturing solutions can help you overcome these challenges. You will also see a demonstration of TIBCO technology in action around improving yield and optimizing processes while also saving costs.
What You Will Learn:
Applying advanced analytics & machine learning / AI techniques to optimize complex manufacturing processes
How multi-variate statistical process control can help to detect deviations from a baseline
How to monitor in real time the OEE and produce a 360 view of your factory
The webinar also highlights customer case studies from our clients who have already successfully implemented process optimization models.
