In today’s markets, customer identities and the personal data associated with them are among the most critical and valuable assets of any enterprise. Managing these digital identities — from first registration and login to the later stages of the customer relationship — and extracting business value from the associated data are complex tasks, commonly referred to as customer identity and access management (CIAM).
When implementing a system to collect, manage, and utilize digital identity and customer data, companies have two basic choices: in-house development or buying a dedicated solution from a vendor specialized in CIAM (i.e., build vs. buy).
Read this white paper for an in-depth analysis of CIAM implementation options, including:
? Must-haves for a successful, enterprise-grade CIAM system
? Pros and cons of implementation options, ranging from in-house software development to commercial off-the-shelf solutions

Red Hat CTO for global service providers, Ian Hood, and TelecomTV talk about multi edge compute capacity and the fundamental need to have a common platform to deliver future services. ‘If you are not feeling some pain, you are not driving fast enough’, says Red Hat CTO, Global Service Provider, Ian Hood. The race to 5G is definitely on, and the use cases are clear. You can talk about multi edge compute capacity and other technical issues, but the fundamental thing is to have a common platform to deliver future services. We need to get to the point where IoT Everywhere, virtualized video and all the applications that come from new 5G services are delivered seamlessly. Even blockchain has a clear future within the telco environment where the world of eSIMs, secure roaming charges and identity management can alls be based on blockchain technology.
Operational readiness depends on rich location data. When managing logistics and tracking high-value assets, there is no room for error and our new data-driven world demands richer, smarter advanced mapping and navigation services.
The 2018 Counterpoint Research Location Ecosystems Update compared 16 location platform vendors—including Google, TomTom and Mapbox—and it named HERE the “undisputed leader” in location based services.

Even after decades of industry and technology advancements, there still is no universal, integrated storage solution that can reduce risk, enable profitability, eliminate complexity and seamlessly integrate into the way businesses operate and manage data at scale? To reach these goals, there are capabilities that are required to achieve the optimum results at the lowest cost. These capabilities include availability, reliability, performance, density, manageability and application ecosystem integration? This paper outlines a better way to think about storing data at scale—solving these problems not only today, but well into the future?
Data continues to grow at an astounding pace? As a result, data center space is becoming more scarce, as more arrays are acquired to store all of this data. Along with this data taking up space, it is also utilizing a great deal of power and cooling. In fact, the average data center in the U.S. uses approximately 34,000 kW of electricity each year, costing $180,000 in annual energy costs. As Infinidat set out to revolutionize the storage industry, one of our goals was to help consumers of storage build a more sustainable infrastructure that would be not only better for the environment, but also help them to save money as well. All of our patents come together to form InfiniBox, a storage solution that does just this.
Your goal is high availability for the applications, databases, virtual machines (VMs), servers, and data that run your business. When access is lost or interrupted, recovery speed is critical, and must be measured in minutes and seconds, not hours of days. And if your backup and recovery strategy includes point solutions with limited coverage, legacy approaches that don't support today's modern technologies, or manual proc cesses that are time-consuming and complex, you may not be ready when disaster strikes.
Automating disaster recovery and disaster recovery testing saves time and budget, plus reduces risk when there is an actual emergency. With weather events, ransomware, and other outages distruping your business, you need a modern disaster recovery solution that really works at time of disaster. Choosing the right disaster recovery solution can be the difference between keeping your business up and running or going dark during an emergency.

Email marketing still work really well. But the world of email is changing. The inbox is fragmented like never before. Messages have to be more relevant, delivered at the right time, and still be considered important enough to read. Working on energized equipment is one of the more dangerous scenarios technicians face in the field. As a result, there’s been a concerted industry effort to improve the understanding of electrical shock and arc flash hazards. I believe one of the most important standards in this safety push is the restructured language within the 2018 edition of the National Fire Protection Agency’s (NFPA’s) 70E “Standard for Electrical Safety in the Workplace.”
In the past, the standard addressed electrical hazards and risks holistically when considering energized electrical work. But today’s latest guidelines now identify hazards and risks independently and include recommendations for a thorough risk analysis that considers the hazard, the planned work task and potential human error. Together, the changes result in a clearer understanding of energized work and help reduce electrical incidents.
The Business Case for Data Protection, conducted by Ponemon Institute and sponsored by Ounce Labs, is the first study to determine what senior executives think about the value proposition of corporate data protection efforts within their organizations. In times of shrinking budgets, it is important for those individuals charged with managing a data protection program to understand how key decision makers in organizations perceive the importance of safeguarding sensitive and confidential information.
Managing service delivery in todayís complex and dynamic business environments demands new and different approaches from IT. The explosive growth and the rate of change of information has brought particularly daunting challenges for IT that have contributed to incredibly complex underlying infrastructures. To get a true picture of all of the components necessary to support an IT or Business Service, you must access and bring together data that resides in disparate data silos throughout the enterprise.
With the current state of the economy, IT executives are being asked to stretch their budgets in order to keep their businesses profitable. In 2008, Median IT spending per user fell to $6,667 from the previous year's $7,397, according to Computer Economics. This represents a 6.2% reduction, consistent with the fact that IT managers were supporting an increasing number of users without corresponding increases in IT spending. IT spend continued to decline in 2009 and uncertainty and caution is still prevalent in 2010.
