So, it comes as little surprise that educators are taking advantage of this shift and beginning to incorporate video into the curriculum. You don’t need to be a video expert to see the possibilities it represents for education. Even if you don’t know your DVI from your HDMI, chances are you’re eager to engage and inspire your students in creative and productive ways.
With the accessibility and affordability of video today, it no longer matters how experienced with A/V technology you are. Around the world, educators and academic institutions are using video to open new channels of communication, connect with their communities, and give students new and engaging ways to learn.
After examining the TCO of object storage vs. LTO tape, and seeing the benefits achieved in a real-world case study, it’s easy to understand why object storage is quickly becoming the standard for data storage, backup, archive, and recovery.
It’s clear that when all costs associated with data storage are tracked, object storage beats tape storage hands down. And even with costs aside, on-premises object storage with Cloudian provides businesses with the flexibility they need to respond to changing technology environments, storage requirements, data monetization opportunities, and more.
FTP was developed in 1971, and a lot has changed in the decades since it was first created. Though the protocol has seen improvement over the years, there are some fundamental drawbacks to relying on this old technology for transferring today’s large media files.
FTP can no longer keep up with the modern global media supply chain. Whether you are a top tier company or a small startup, being in the media business today requires next-generation acceleration software. Read this whitepaper to find out more.

It takes more than a single interaction to net a customer. By now, marketers understand the importance of multichannel engagement, but most still struggle to seamlessly connect the customer experience across channels.
Simply put, it’s easy to batch and blast a broadcast message to email, social, and mobile audiences, but consumers today want more. They want to see themselves in the brand, not just see the brand talk about themselves.
Additionally, personalizing messaging in one channel can be tricky enough, but connecting messaging, for an audience who is sprinting from one channel to the next, is a whole other hurdle.
When Bloomberg Television opened its state-of-the-art broadcast facility in the company’s new European Headquarters in London last year, network engineers from the company’s IT infrastructure team collaborated with Apstra to successfully pilot its technology in order to gain visibility across and more effectively manage the network fabric supporting the building’s media production systems.

"No organization wants to maintain the status quo, but many lack a plan for managing expansion. Planning for growth is essential to keeping everyone focused on the ultimate goal — be it expanding into new markets, introducing new products or broadening the customer base.
The role of the CFO is to ensure that the company manages cash flow and expenses to position the company for intelligent expansion.
To effectively plan for the future, the finance team needs modern tools and strategies to control costs and efficiently manage AP processes and T&E policies as they add headcount and crosses borders in search of opportunities."
Common daily media broadcaster tasks such as ad verification are slow and costly. Done manually, they may also introduce inefficiencies that can interfere with transparency and payment accountability—and impact your bottom line. Meanwhile, recent and archived media lies idle when you could repurpose it to increase brand exposure and generate revenue.
Learn how Veritone, Inc. used its aiWARE Operating System, building on Amazon Web Services (AWS), to help Westwood One, Inc., a large audio broadcasting network in the United States, develop Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) solutions designed for ad verification and monetizing archived media.

seeking public-cloud-like simplicity and flexibility in their own data centers, IT teams are under pressure to reduce wait times to
Legacy load balancing solutions force network architects and administrators to purchase new hardware, manually configure
virtual services, and inefficiently overprovision these appliances. Simultaneously, new infrastructure choices are also enabling IT
teams to re-architect applications into autonomous microservices from monolithic or n-tier constructs. These transformations
are forcing organizations to rethink load balancing strategies and application delivery controllers (ADCs) in their infrastructure.

All native and ‘transitioning’ media companies are focusing heavily on content to save existing businesses, or building new business models, or both. Television broadcasters, wary of the growing cord-cutting, are spending large sums on premium content. In 2017, the top four media companies spent more than USD 34 billion on original and acquired non-sports programming. Pure-play OTT providers have, on the other hand, bet big on content to shore up on subscribers. Netflix alone spent more than USD 6 billion on content last year, while spend was USD 7 billion for Amazon and Hulu combined. Transitioning media companies, such as telecom and technology companies that are moving towards being a media company, are also allocating sizable funds for content in their quest to explore supplementary businesses, by boosting customer engagement on their platforms. Apple and Facebook have started creating their own original content, and spend is only going to expand further.
A leading US-based broadcasting and publishing firm, with a market value of $17 Bn plus, creates, acquires and distributes entertainment content to global consumers over diverse platforms. The Company owns iconic media brands and has the viewership base amongst the US cable networks. The Broadcaster wanted to gain deeper insights into audience viewership patterns, advertisement impressions and sales data, in order to streamline the management of its advertisement deals. LTI's ADAPT (AD Sales Audience Prediction and tracking) solution optimized allocation, management, tracking and maintenance of advertisement air time to substantial increase in Marketing ROI.

In this case study, read about how one major broadcaster discovered a whole new solution for accessing their archived content and saved a lot of money in the process. Needing on-demand access to archived promotional content this broadcaster was using both on-premise storage and off-promise tape storage with disappointing results. Seeking an alternative they looked to the cloud and Amazon S3. But before they could pull the trigger their media management company Acembly introduced them to Wasabi. It was a game changer. Wasabi’s Hot Cloud Storage is 80% cheaper and 6x the speed of even Amazon’s fastest offering. Plus, there’s free unlimited egress which is crucial for companies with unpredictable content needs. Download the case study to see how Wasabi’s revolutionary cloud storage technology is changing the possibilities for broadcasters and how they access their content.
